Description: For 16 years, DR-TV has followed 24 children who in 1974 and 75 were accepted as students at one of Denmark's most special schools: the Royal Ballet School. In six broadcasts, we follow the children's everyday life to see how many achieve the common goal: to become a royal ballet dancer. The first broadcast depicts the entrance exams, for which around 500 children had signed up.

Description: A day at the children's ward. Treatment of polio in stage 2. The children's muscles are weakened after the paralysis. The task of the post-treatment is to train the muscles up to normal strength again. The treatment consists of a number of exercises, including in the pool and tub, lying movement exercises on a bench or in the hospital bed and strength training with machines. Some get electrodes on their body to stimulate the muscles. When the children are not in treatment, there is time for activities such as braiding, weaving, teaching, knitting, doll play, etc. Year unknown.

The father has a good school education and a trusted position as a foreman in a large industrial company, so the children - even the girls - can afford a good schooling. This family has security, housing and knowledge unlike the vast majority of Bombay residents. The film belongs together with two other films from India, 'The Village - about a casteless society' and 'The Farmer - about a collective family in the countryside'.

We follow Åse and her schoolmates at Mosegårdsskolen in Vangede in the 1950s. We get a glimpse into everyday life at Gentofte's many schools with morning singing, lessons, gymnastics and packed lunches. The film provides an insight into school development through a significant part of Denmark's history.

The film explains how far they have come in the treatment of polio patients, i.a. by demonstrating different forms of treatment and their effectiveness. You follow two severely affected adults from their first time in hospital to the National Association's clinic on Tuborgvej, where they, together with other polio patients, adults and children, are trained to fend for themselves.
